Mavis and her best friend, Jane, find themselves agreeing to be Sylvia's bridesmaids, only to be caught up in a wedding planning disaster.
Mayhem unfolds with an auto accident, robberies, and attempts at stealing someone else’s beau, all while Mavis and her camp director, Carter, are attempting to expand the campground. Will anyone end up at the altar and live happily ever after?

I’ve always enjoyed making up stories and writing. I’m thrilled that I have reached a point in my life I can take more time to work on my writing skills and share stories with others. In the stories we find release from the tough realities of the world around us, and what better time than this to just have some fun and enjoy a good story!
Dreams fulfilled…
I’ve always dreamed of writing stories since I was in third grade and won a fancy zippered binder from the Ben Franklin store. I wrote my first mystery in fifth grade English class, and if I remember it involved a collie finding a bag of diamonds. After working as a school librarian for 25 years, followed by 13 years as church pastor, I am now taking some time to play around and write the stories that have been bouncing around in my head. Thanks to my husband Dave for encouraging me and my two dogs Bailey and Molly for keeping me company as I write. The picture at the bottom of this page is me in the original "Buttercup.” Thanks, too, to our son Eric for taking my photo and to the our son Timm and his wife El for cheering me onward. Never give up on your dreams!
